Nokia has announced the launch of the Nokia N97 mini. Mini is a smaller version of the original N97 and the device was announced two months ago together with Nokia Siemens X6 and X3. Nokia N97 as a mini feature 640 x 360 pixel touch screen found on the N97 first, only 0.3 “smaller size, measuring 3.2″. Other features include 8GB of internal memory, microSD card slot, 1200mAh batter (down from 1500), 5.0 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash and a special lamp for VGA video capture, 3G, 3.5mm headphone jack and A-GPS.

Nokia also thought this would be a good time to introduce the N97 software update 2.0, which brings new features such as: ‘roll fold’ in the user interface, making scrolling in all a very fine view, a shortcut to personalize the homescreen, Ovi Maps 3.0 with 3-D maps, the Nokia e-mail (Nokia Messaging), Contact and Ovi Ovi Store.
